Using 1-part Silicone Caulking to color, coat and texture soft polyurethane foam.
Silicone Caulking comes as a thick trowel-able paste and smells of vinegar.
It can be found at most paint and hardware stores.
Silicone Caulking needs to be thinned with a solvent for some techniques.

Using 2-part Platinum cure Silicone to color, coat and texture soft polyurethane foam. 2-part Platinum silicone has no odor, and is available from distributors, sculpture and FX stores. Platinum Silicone needs to be thickened for some techniques. 11:30PM-1PM

Metallic, Antiqued and Distressed Silicone Finishes
A variety of finishes and materials will be used to make silicone coated foam look SteamPunk. Techniques and finishes are also applicable to molded and cast silicone. (This panel is directly after the SILICONE COATED FOAM 102 WORKSHOP)

Silicone “PAINT” is made by adding silicone-safe pigments to liquid silicone rubber.
The difference between colored silicone and silicone paint is the amount of pigment used. Silicone paint has a higher concentration of pigment.
Painting with silicone is different than with acrylic out oil paint, and all will be explained. Sample swatches on foam and siliconized paper will be made using a variety of methods including brush, stipple, wash and sponge techniques.

A review of work and creative designs by our guest. Each review is limited to 15 minutes. There is no charge but you must sign up in advance. Please presentent your ticket for this at registration.
